Your flu vaccination: who needs one and how to book

4 min read

Every year the same question lands at our counter in Marlow: 'Do I really need a flu vaccination?'

For most healthy adults under 65, the flu jab is optional but often a sensible choice. For anyone over 65, pregnant, immunocompromised, or living with a long-term condition, it is free on the NHS and strongly advised.

Booking is the easiest part. You can walk into Holloway when we are open, or reserve a slot online in under a minute. The appointment itself usually takes about 10 minutes from start to finish, and you can go straight back to work.

If you have had a reaction to a vaccine in the past, mention it when booking. Our pharmacists will check the latest guidance and recommend the right product for you.
